How To Draw A Hammer Union

Windlass offers a comprehensive range of standard and sour gas Hammer Unions. Each union is thoroughly inspected to ensure long, undecayed service in the nigh extreme weather. Available in stock at our distribution center in Houston.

  • All unions provide force per unit area-tight & positive sealing for low-pressure services (500 to 2,000 PSI)
  • The spherical surface male person sub and angular surface female person sub form a metal-to-metal seal, the ball and tangent provides a perfect seal
  • Range from one/2" to 12" with cold working pressures from 500 to xx,000 PSI
  • Fully interchangeable with most major brands of Hammer Unions

50 Union
  • These Hammer Unions are recommended for suction and low pressure lines
  • Available in threaded and socket weld ends

100 Union
  • These Hammer Unions are used in low force per unit area manifold lines and air, water, oil or gas applications
  • Bachelor in both threaded and but weld ends
  • Metal to metal sealing surface

200 Union
  • These Hammer Unions are used in general service manifold lines and air, water, oil or gas applications
  • Available in both threaded and barrel weld ends
  • Metal to metal sealing surface
  • Available in barrel weld schedules 40 and 80

206 Union
  • These Hammer Unions are similar to Fig 200 with a secondary seal to supplement the metallic-to-metallic pattern
  • Recommended for utilize in corrosive environments
  • Available in both threaded and barrel weld ends
  • Available in butt weld schedules twoscore and 80

207 Union
  • Fig 207 Hammer Unions are fully interchangeable with effigy 200 and 206 unions
  • Used to bare off the cease of a line
  • O-ring is provided in blanking cap to ensure leak proof seal

300 Union
  • These Hammer Unions accept a flat face up blueprint which permits directly breakout for lateral removal of valves and other fittings for inspection or replacement

  • These Hammer Unions are used in manifold & line connections, pump suction and mud services
  • Available in both threaded and butt weld ends
  • iii″ through 12″ sizes take o-ring for main seal
  • Bachelor in butt weld schedule 80

602 Union
  • These Hammer Unions are used in water, oil, gas and mud service
  • Replaceable, lip blazon safe seal provides primary sealing
  • Available in both threaded and butt weld ends

1002 Union
  • These Hammer Unions are in high pressure applications for choke and kill lines, cementing and acidizing. Replaceable, lip type rubber seal provides primary sealing upward to 4″
  • 5″ and 6″ sizes have o-band for master sealing
  • Available in both threaded and butt weld ends
  • half dozen″ unions are merely available in barrel weld for sour service

1003 Union
  • These Hammer Unions are used in air, water, oil, mud, gas service, high force per unit area manifold, drilling rig where alignment of pipage components is a problem
  • Replaceable o-ring on male sub provides primary sealing
  • Available in both threaded and butt weld ends
  • 5″ unions are available in butt weld ends but

1004 Union
  • Available in butt weld ends
  • Face of male & female subs is perfectly square
  • Provided with lip type seal ring

1502 Union
  • These Hammer Unions are utilise in cementing, acidizing, asphyxiate and kill lines
  • Replaceable lip type rubber seal
  • Available in both threaded and butt weld ends

2002 Union
  • Replaceable lip type condom seal
  • Available in butt weld ends only

2202 Union
  • These Hammer Unions are particularly designed for sour gas service
  • Replaceable lip type prophylactic seal with stainless steel anti extrusion ring
  • Conform to NACE standard MR-01-75 and API-14E
  • Available in butt weld ends only

6666 Union
  • Available in threaded ends only

Retainer Rings

Retainer Rings and Retainer Segments are used for assembly of a wing nut with a male end of hammer union. These are manufactured in all sizes and effigy of hammer unions

Hammer Seal Unions

  • Designed to apace connect mud tanks with flanged connections
  • Nitrile o-ring provides a compressive non leak seal that limits the line fluid pressure to 150 PSI
  • Tank Unions accept upwards to 7° of pipe misalignment
  • The female sub of the hammer seal union welds to a schedule forty / 80 pipe.
  • Available in stock at our distribution center in Houston
